Dakota Campground is a great stop before leaving the state or heading to the mountain, or if you 're looking for a more relaxing less crowded vacation. Long, wide level pull-thrus, with 30/50amp service and room for slideouts on both sides. Separate tenting area with picnic tables and central firepits. Our game room has a pool table. We also have a laundry and playground for the kids. FREE firewood for tenters. Clean restrooms with hot showers.

Walsenburg has a small-town atmosphere with a few good restaurants and several places where fisherman can land a hook.

Walk to Pizza Hut. Nearby activities include: water park, swimming, boating, fishing, golf.

Walsenburg 's Wild Waters a new water park is a great way to cool off the whole family with buckets of dumping water, fountains and sprays, two giant water slides and a curvaceous river of reversing water jets. If that isn 't enough, there is also a pool with diving board, zero entry pool, decks and enjoy the cool 'brellas ' and refreshments while you soak up the Colorado summer sun.
